Saint Joseph Mercy Health System: Psychiatric Access

The staff at SJMH Psychiatric Access provides mental health assessments through the Emergency Department and can make arrangements for hospitalization to referrals to community providers as needed. No prior appointments are necessary in the Emergency Department, and telephone calls are welcome anytime at 712-2762. Services also include partial hospitalization programs for adolescents and adults.

Mental health and chemical dependency assessments are available 24-hours a day through the Emergency Center at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

There are no additional fees beyond the Emergency Department charge. St. Joseph Mercy Hospital accepts these and other types of insurance carriers: Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan, Medicare, Medicaid, Care Choices HMO, Preferred Choices, HAP-HVPA Network, Commercial insurances (e.g., Aetna, Hartford) and several other preferred provider organizations (PPOs).
